Pen & Ink
These paintings are, unless otherwise noted, done on location.

I love my best friend Shari's mom, Ann. She just moved back to California from Arizona, and I wanted to give her a house warming present. I asked Shari, "what does your mom like?" and she said, "Um, my dog." So, I took some photos of her sweet dog Milo. The "paw prints" you see started as a mistake. I initially got ink on one of my knuckles and smudged the page in front of the right paw. Then I accidentally did it again in front of the left paw! So, that's serendipity, right?

I drew this for my son’s eighth birthday because we were buying him a new glove. He is crazy about baseball.

I drew this as I sat in the Miami airport, waiting for my flight to San Francisco. I had attended my friend’s wedding in Key West…in the middle of July!

A friend asked me to draw a picture of her house to give to her son who was away at college. She had a pen and ink drawing of the home she grew up in and she felt that he should have one too! (Drawn from photos, 'cause someone was paying me to get it right!)

Part of a site observation for an architecture studio class I had at the University of Oregon.

I don't like this highrise because it is sited too close to the freeway and is very disconcerting as one gets off the Bay Bridge. As a drawing I like it just fine.

I love to sit and draw in the Barnes & Noble café in the El Cerrito Plaza.

Glamorous living at the Piedmont Stables.

It sure is hard to draw your food once you have already started eating! I love Vietnamese sandwiches. This one I ate at the Tay Tah Cafe on Solano in Albany. Yum!
